Day School: A Bluffers Guide to Pre-History

Ref: C3744271

Prehistory covers over 99% of archaeological time, but most of it remains a mystery as our understanding depends on interpretation of what little evidence there is. Over the course of the day, students will learn all they need to know on how modern humans spread from Africa; what their legacy is in terms of tools and art; how they viewed the night sky and used it to inform practical and ritual activities; how moderns humans developed from hunter gathers to farmers and later to kingdoms. In addition to lectures, students will have practical sessions on flint recognition and artifact handling. In short all one needs to know about prehistory in just 6 hours!
