Exploring a Particular Philosopher or School of Thought

Ref: C3744251

In this short course, we engage each year with a different thinker or theme within the tradition of western philosophy. Past topics have included Hannah Arendt, Maurice Merleau-Ponty, John Dewey, Process Philosophy and the Philosophy of Mind. A short reading each week is elucidated by the tutor and then discussed with the group with the aim of providing a good grounding in the overall topic for both beginners and those with some previous philosophical knowledge. The specific topic is usually decided nearer the time and will be advertised online by the WEA.
