If you don't know where to start or have tried in the past and feel that you have not been successful then this is the taster session for you. We shall look at 'art' and what that means for you and aim to give you a flavour of all the other possibilities that are available, a taster session of exploration that will give you the impetus to just get going! Go on try it.

Course aim

Want to release you inner creativity but don't know where to start? Then this taster session is for you. Explore, experiment and enjoy.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This is a live lecture delivered by a subject specialist in an online webinar video learning platform. You will need to be able to access the internet on a device with speakers or earphones.   • No skills or experience needed
  • This course is for beginners

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Feel inspired to get going on a piece of art.
  • Gain in confidence and not be afraid to have a go.
  • See that art can be in a vast range of different media.
  • Learn about some of the different media available and how they could be used.
  • Focus on enjoying the creation of 'art' as a crreative experience.

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning
  • This is a taster session and participants will be able to chat and ask questions.

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning
  • Discussions and question and answer during the session.

What else do I need to know?

  • Nothing else is needed

  • No pre reading or pre course work is required
