A computer course designed to assist learning from a variety of applications including Micosoft word, Spreadsheets (excel) PowerPoint, Publisher, Internet/email and Graphics.
Course aim
To increase confidence and skills whilst using a computer, covering many aspects of Microsoft applications. Learn new IT skills or build upon existing knowledge, gain transferable skills and learn in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- No skills or experience needed
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Name a memory stick
- Save a document to a memory stick
- Use a print screen and paste into a document
- Crop an image Set custom tabs
- Insert a watermark in to a word processing document
How will I be taught?
- The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning
What kind of feedback can I expect?
- A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
- You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor
What else do I need to know?
- Students are advised to make their own notes, a note pad and pen would be useful.
