Gifts for the Spring Season

This course will support students to make their own gifts using a variety of craft skills and techniques. These gifts will include items suitable for Valentines day, Mothering Sunday , Easter etc.

Course aim

This course aims to provide students with some of the skills and techniques required to create gifts for the Spring season ( Valentines day, Mothering Sunday etc).

  • No skills or experience needed
  • This course is for beginners
  • This course is for improvers
  • This course is suitable for beginners and improvers
  • This course is for people with little spoken English

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Share thoughts and ideas with other students.
  • Create a gift for Valentines day
  • Design / Decorate a plaque for Mothering Sunday.
  • Make a gift using a variety of different items.

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor
  • You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning
  • You will be encouraged to consider other students work and give your opinions and suggestions

What else do I need to know?

  • Nothing else is needed
  • All materials will be provided

Pre-course work, reading and information sources

  • No pre reading or pre course work is required
