This Course provides a follow-on to the techniques and practices from the Second Degree of Reiki and how these may be applied for self development, building confidence and improving physical and mental health. The course covers further uses of the three Usui Reiki Symbols, Mantrasand Kotodame and introduces new advanced Reiki meditation techniques.
Course aim
To learn and utilise further techniques and practices from the Second Degree of Reiki and to apply theses for self development, building confidence and further improving physical and mental health.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- This course is a follow-on from Reiki for Self Development Part 2. Student must have completed Part 1 and 2 first.
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- 1. Demonstrate an understanding of the basic history, origins and uses of at least 3 Second Degree Reiki Techniques (eg. Laser Beam, Reiki Box, Ketsuki Kokan, Depoisoning Technique, Distant Healing)
- 2. Identify and competently intone the 3 the Reiki Kotodama and describe each of their uses in Reiki practice.
- 3. Identify and use at least 3 approaches to Reiki Distant Healing (eg. Symbols, Mantra, Kotodama, Visualisation).
- 4. Practice and recognise at least 3 Second Degree Reiki Meditation Techniques (eg. Spinal Cleansing, Chakra Breathing, Symbol meditation, Kotodama chanting)
- 5. Utilise at least 3 Second Degree Reiki techniques and meditations into daily practice for the improvement of general health and well-being.
How will I be taught?
- The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning
- You will be expected to carry out a range of activities in your own time
What kind of feedback can I expect?
- A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
- You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor
- You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning
- You will be encouraged to consider other students work and give your opinions and suggestions
What else do I need to know?
- Nothing else is needed
- All materials will be provided
- It would be helpful if you had access to the internet (Mobile phone, tablet or computer at home or through a library etc.)

- No pre reading is required but research on the subject on the internet or in the library may be helpful
