Gentle Yoga for All

Ref: C3676416

This course is aimed at people who would like to begin yoga but may be worried about how to begin safely and gently and feel that a conventional beginners’ yoga class may present physical challenges for them. This is a gentle course run by a qualified and experienced teacher. Physical practices will be adapted to enable students to either practice seated or by using a chair for support. Students will learn physical practices to help improve flexibility, strength, co-ordination and balance. Students will also learn breathing, relaxation and mindfulness techniques to help to quiet an active mind and restore good sleep patterns.

Course aim

Students will work gently on improving their flexibility, strength and co-ordination, with the support of a chair (and other yoga equipment where appropriate) as well as breathing, relaxation and mindfulness techniques to reduce stress
