Ref: C3676243

Brian Holmshaw is leading an evening class for the WEA called A History of Sheffield Parks and Woodlands. The 12 sessions will use images, maps and documents from a range of time periods to investigate the history and development of Sheffield's parks, woodlands and open spaces. Some sessions are thematic, others explore a different park or wood in the city in depth. There will be 2 site visits. Thursday evenings, 5.30-7.30pm for 12 weeks from 19 September to 12 December 2019. Held at The Circle (Voluntary Action Sheffield), Rockingham Lane, Sheffield S1 4FW
