Rambles Around NE Lincolnshire Part 2

This is a chance to gently stroll around key locations in North East Lincolnshire taking in their history on a guided walk with local history author Emma Lingard. Explore Cleethorpes learning about its history in week one, and walk the streets of Healing in week two learning more about this Edwardian village and how it was the first 'garden village' in the county. Both walks end with afternoon tea.

Course aim

A guided exploration of Cleethorpes and Healing to gain an insight into their histories and development with a view to learning more about the meanings behind the street names.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • No skills or experience needed
  • This course is suitable for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Undertand the history of a selected area
  • Guide a friend around a location
  • Recount some basic facts about an area

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion

What else do I need to know?

  • Nothing else is needed
