Join Aromatherapist, Carol Miller for a fun filled session of essential oil education and experience firsthand the powerful aroma benefits of pure therapeutic grade essential oils. In this taster session you will discover what an essential oil is and why purity is important. You will be able to experience the positive effects they can have on your mood and wellbeing. You will also learn how they can support your physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. Be prepared to be amazed and ready to ask questions; the final part of this taster course will be a Q&A session; with over 40 years of experience using essential oils, I am really excited to share some of my knowledge with you and don’t feel limited to the oils you experience in the taster session. It’s a great way to learn, discovering the powerful benefits of the Oils and sharing your experiences with like minded people. There is a follow up course to delve deeper into the different ways of using these amazing gifts of the earth.

Course aim

Explore the connection between the aroma of pure essential oils and health.You will understand what Essential Oils are and how they can be vital to our health and wellbeing with an opportunity to experience some aromas and their positive effect.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • You will need your own personal email address so that you’re able to login to the WEA’s digital learning platform: WEA Canvas.   • This course is for beginners
  • This course is suitable for beginners and improvers
  • Students need a level 2 qualification in English to join this course

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Know what an essential oil is and why purity is important
  • You will understand why essential oils can have a positive impact on our emotions
  • You will understand the importance of dilution when using oils.

How will I be taught?

  • Most of your learning will take place in your class, but one or two sessions will be online using WEA’s digital learning platform, Canvas, working by yourself or engaging with other students.   • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • You will be able to keep a record of your progress and achievement using photos, audio, text or documents uploaded into the WEA’s digital learning platform, WEA Canvas.

What else do I need to know?

  • It would be helpful if you had access to the internet (Mobile phone, tablet or computer at home or through a library etc.)
  • You should bring a note book and pen to write with.

This course is funded by the West of England Combined Authority but is also open to residents of other areas.
