As part of the 2020 Bristol Learning City Festival of Lifelong Learning week, this free taster course is one of over 200 activities across the city. It will be look the profile of the value of adult learning opportunities can be raised and how WEA courses can help individuals, for employment, health & wellbeing, community engagement and cultural and social development. The course will bring people from different backgrounds, ages, faiths and races together to share in an introduction to the topic and to explore ways this could be taken further

Course aim

To promote and celebrate the benefits of learning by bringing adults from different backgrounds, together to share in the joy of learning. It may also encourage you to learn something new.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is suitable for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Identify ways forward to continue developing skills in the topic.
  • Understnd common shapes and key properites of shapes.
  • Make links between this exercise and geometric problem-solving.

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor

What else do I need to know?

  • Nothing else is needed

This course is funded by the West of England Combined Authority but is also open to residents of other areas.
