This course will help you to decide if working in Care is the right path for you. We will look at different job roles and different types of care. You will be able to discuss and explore what skills are needed to become a care worker and also find out what current skills you have.

The aim of this taster is to provide an introduction to types of care work

- No skills or experience needed
- This course is for beginners
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Identify different job roles in care
- Recognise skills and qualities needed for care work
- Identify which type of care work to explore further
How will I be taught?
- The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning
- Activities may include tutor presentation, small group work, working in pairs, class discussions, short tasks and research
What kind of feedback can I expect?
- A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
- You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor
What else do I need to know?
- Nothing else is needed
- All materials will be provided
