The course is about the understanding and manipulation of materials, media, processes and techniques to produce a variety of art and craft creations. We will be working from photographs and use the scaling up grid system. We will be exploring how to draw using a variety of graphite mark-making techniques. Use different media such as oil pastels to explore colour of the animal kingdom and their environments. We will also continue to use a variety of collage techniques that we have explored in previous courses, to create weird and wonderful imaginative creatures. We will also learn how to review and evaluate your own work, the work of your peers and the work of others to inspire improvement in your own work.
