Employability- Preparation for Driving Theory

Students will be taught alertness on the road, attitude and driving on the motorway. They will also look into safety of the vehicle and passengers. The course will also cover employability where learners will be able to look for jobs on the internet, apply for them and get practice with interviews.

Course aim

The main purpose is to teach the principles of driving on the road . Create a CV and have the opportunity to participate in role play interviews to practice techniques to give the learners the confidence to attend interviews.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for improvers
  • This course is for women only as it is held in a women's centre

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • I will be able to read and follow questions on alertness.
  • I will be able to read and answer questions on motorway safety.
  • I will be able to read and answer questions on attitude.
  • I will be able to create a CV.
  • I will be able to apply for jobs.

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning
  • You may be asked to undertake additional work in your own time to support your learning
  • You will be expected to carry out a range of activities in your own time

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • A file of work will be kept which will help to record your progress

  • All materials will be provided

  • read on topics beforehand as tutor requires

  • Apply for theory and jobs.
