Modern day life and the workplace can cause stress. Why not come on this course to develop the skills to reduce stress and anxiety. Learn about what causes stress. These techniques can be used at home, at school and in the workplace. Many adults and children face fears and worries, for some these fears can affect their daily lives. This course will provide some strategies to help you manage anxiety. Relax in a stress free calm environment with a specialist tutor who uses a range of strategies to help you understand how to relax out of stress. Linked topics such as nutrition and sleep will be included.

Course aim

This workshop can be used to understand how to reduce stress in adults and children. People completing this course can progress on to a more detailed course.

  • This course is suitable for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Identify the causes of emotional and physical stress
  • Discuss strategies you can use to break the cycles of fear and anxiety
  • Identify some reasons for the body’s reactions to stress
  • Identify the links between anxiety at home and the workplace

How will I be taught?

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor
  • You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning
  • You will be encouraged to consider other students work and give your opinions and suggestions

What else do I need to know?

  • You will also need access to the internet outside of your sessions. You could do this using a smart phone, tablet, laptop or a desktop computer (at home or through a library etc.).
  • All materials will be provided
  • Pen and a note book
