This session will explore what we mean by Politics, how it affects us in our daily lives. The session will highlight some of the important issues in the upcoming election and current political climate, giving a brief, unbiased breakdown of what the major parties stand for.

To provide the opportunity to understand how Politics affects your everyday life.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- No skills or experience needed
- This course is suitable for beginners and improvers
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Understand how Politics affects our daily lives
- Participate in group discussion in a confident way
- Have a greater awareness of how to assess political bias.
How will I be taught?
- The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning
What kind of feedback can I expect?
- A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
- You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning
What else do I need to know?
- All materials will be provided
- A selection of materials and basic equipment will be provided but you are welcome to bring additional materials with you
