Through drama and dance learners have opportunities to be creative and experience inspiration and enjoyment. Creating and exploring a variety of dramatic disciplines. Improving confidence, communication skills and health & well being. Learners will have the opportunity to produce, perform and devise their own theatre production to perform to an audience.
Course aim
The performing Arts course is designed to encourage participation in exploring a variety of dance styles and drama techniques, improving confidence and health and wellbeing
Do I need any particular skills or experience?

By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Perform a character role
- Recall scripted lines and follow stage directions
- Listen to music and perform choreography in time with the beat.
- Recall words for a song and sing together as a group
How will I be taught?
- The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning
What kind of feedback can I expect?
- A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
- You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor
- You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning
- You will be encouraged to consider other students work and give your opinions and suggestions
