If you are interested in podcasting, and would like to know how to produce one yourself this course will provide a basic outline of how to do it. Topics will include: choosing a subject, scripting, interviewing and editing as well as software and hardware requirements, publishing and promotion. No experience necessary just an interest in podcasting.
Course aim
The workshops will cover the basics of podcasting, we will go through the requirements that will enable participants to plan, produce and publish a podcast.

By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Understand the basics of Podcasting
- Understand the basic equipment needed to create a podcast
- Understand the requirements to record audio for a podcast
- Understand basic editing of recorded audio
- Understand the requirements to publish a podcast
How will I be taught?
- The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning
- You may be asked to undertake additional work in your own time to support your learning
What kind of feedback can I expect?
- You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning
- You will be encouraged to consider other students work and give your opinions and suggestions
- There will be a number of tasks appropriate to your course such as written work, creating art or craft, video, photography or small projects. Some of these may be marked to help you progress

- It would be helpful if you had access to the internet (Mobile phone, tablet or computer at home or through a library etc.)
