Introduction to Story Sacks

Ref: C2525373

This course is suitable for absolute beginners. You will explore a variety of creative techniques, including (but not limited to) knitting, crochet, and toy making, to produce story sacks and the resources for inclusion in them. You will create functional and decorative items, whilst considering the incorporation of recycled and/or repurposed materials. These items can be used to give as presents or donate to a school, charity or care home to encourage reading together experiences. The whole process involved in producing the story sack and its contents will provide learners with the opportunity to be involved with the wider community and help build confidence in expressing ideas and sharing skills.
