Willow Weaving - Christmas Wreath

You will learn some simple willow weaving techniques to make a willow wreath which you will then decorate with natural foliage. You will be able to take your unique creation home with you. There will be an additional charge of £5 for materials payable direct to the tutor on the day.

Course aim

Learn some simple willow weaving techniques to design and make your own unique Christmas wreath.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • No skills or experience needed
  • This course is suitable for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • use willow weaving techniques to make a wreath
  • add natural foliage to my wreath
  • decorate my wreath with natural embellishments

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor
  • You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning

What else do I need to know?

  • All materials will be provided at an additional cost of £5 payable direct to the tutor on the day. Please wear old clothes and flat shoes. It would also be useful to bring secateurs with you.

  • No pre reading or pre course work is required

  • Progress to another WEA course
  • Become involved as a volunteer for a WEA partner or another organisation
