From puberty to menopause women have to deal with various issues at certain times of the month. This course will look at the female reproductive system and how holistic health in the form of lifestyle, nutrition and herbs can enhance the wellbeing of that system.

Course aim

To provide information and practical examples on holistic ways of managing issues around the female reproductive system.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • No skills or experience needed
  • This course is for beginners
  • This course is for improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Gain an undestanding of the anatomy and physiology of the female reproductive system
  • Gain knowledge on how nutrition can be used to alleviate menstrual isses
  • Gain knowledge on how herbs can be used to alleviate menstrual issues
  • Learn why understanding about Holistic Health and its impact on the human being is to important to well being.
  • Gain an understanding of the biological pathways of stress and how holistic health can be used to manage it

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion

What else do I need to know?

  • Nothing else is needed

Pre-course work, reading and information sources

  • No pre reading or pre course work is required

What can I do next?

  • Progress to another WEA course
  • Become involved as a volunteer for a WEA partner or another organisation
