Practical Drawing and Watercolour

Ref: C2421286

The drawing and water colour course is designed to explore different ways of looking; drawing with a range of materials including pastels (which contemporary artists and the impressionist painters used), and developing a watercolour painting technique. You will develop your own sketchbooks with observational and imaginative drawing; also mixed media work. Learn how to show perspective in your landscapes working in the studio and in two outside 2 sessions at Courthouse Park, the local park. We will look at examples of different styles of drawing a variety of artists use and also pen and ink and water colour techniques. You will be asked to bring things in related to themes we work from each week such as flowers and natural forms from the garden or hedgerows.
