From puberty to menopause women have to deal with various issues at certain times of the month. This course will look at the female reproductive system and how holistic health in the form of lifestyle, nutrition and herbs can improve quality of life and enhance wellbeing.

Course aim

To educate on the anatomy and physiology of the female reproductive system, how it functions and provide information and practical examples on holistic ways of managing issues women have during the menstruating years.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • No skills or experience needed
  • This course is suitable for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Have a clearer understanding of the anatomy, physiology and functioning of the female reproductive system
  • Learn how stress affects this system
  • Gain an understanding of the importance of Holistic Health in well being.
  • Learn how nutrition may be used to relieve issues associated with the female reproductive system.
  • Learn how herbs may be used to relieve issues associated with the female reproductive system.

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion

What else do I need to know?

  • You may want to bring pen and paper to take notes.
