Jewellery Making - a taster

This taster session is starting with 12 balls bracelet, using nylon code and seed beads (x12), complete with findings.

Course aim

This course is a taster for the complete beginners as well for learners who have some knowledge and experience in making jewellery. It will give the students an idea what would be covered in the creative jewellery making course.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is suitable for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • You will learn how to make knotting techniques using nylon code
  • How to crate 12 balls using seed beads ( ball pattern)
  • making findings using 0.9mm wire

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor
  • You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning
  • You will be encouraged to consider other students work and give your opinions and suggestions

What else do I need to know?

  • All materials will be provided

  • No pre reading or pre course work is required

This course is funded by the Greater London Combined Authority but is also open to residents of other areas.
