We will assess your level of English language skills through a series of fun activities. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage with other learners in a relaxed environment. You will be given advise on what course is best for you.

Course aim

This course will provide you with a brief introduction to ESOL. It will help you decide which level is best for you.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is suitable for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • assess level of English language skills
  • Feel confident in a learning environment
  • Enrol on a course
  • Decide what course is best for you

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion

What else do I need to know?

  • All materials will be provided

Pre-course work, reading and information sources

  • No pre reading or pre course work is required
