Better than a Book Group: Best of the Bookers! 2

Ref: C2420857

The internationally renowned Booker Prize has promoted come of the most outstanding fiction over the past fifty years. In narratives drawn from the 20th and 21st centuries, we examine the qualities of works from the perspectives of their topics, forms and techniques, focusing on a wide range of entries from authors whose reputations have crossed international boundaries. In texts from William Trevor and Mohsin Hamid to Ahdaf Soureif and V. S. Naipaul, we discuss the relevance of their contribution to social and political issues, to concerns with history and postcolonial debates.
