Poetry Matters

Ref: C2342927

We reach for poems at important times in our lives. Poetry can celebrate and soothe, make us laugh and cry. It can help us when we have questions or doubts. It can make us see small everyday things in a new way. The course will look at poems from our own time: we’ll read a range of poems and share some of our favourites. We'll look at what makes them work and how they're constructed, and we'll read them aloud. You don't need to know anything about poetry to join this group, just be open and curious.
