The Figure in Twentieth Century Art - Art Appreciation

Ref: C2342644

The history of twentieth century art has often been told as a shift away from the illusionistic or representational towards the 'pure' and abstracted. This course looks at a range of artists, from Marc Chagall to Alice Neel, who experienced the uncertainties of their time and responded to these social, cultural and political changes in their often compelling paintings of people. No previous experience necesar - just a lively, open-minded interest in art!
