This course looks at building self-confidence and increased wellbeing through the use of makeup. We will look at the latest trends and fashions and look into the 'lipstick effect' and how it can help increase self-esteem and promote a positive attitude. Try different types of moisturisers to keep the skin healthy as it goes through life's journey and challenges.

Course aim

To provide a brief introduction to makeup and the latest trends. How to look good for less.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • No skills or experience needed
  • Highbury hospital residents.

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Know the benefits of the 'lipstick effect'.
  • Apply basic makeup.
  • Name one latest trend.

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor

What else do I need to know?

  • Nothing else is needed
