Introduction to Microsoft Excel (BB0 / WiLL Participants only)

It is suitable for learners who have never used a Excel before. It will cover everything from creating a simple spreadsheets, inserting simple formulas and manipulating and formatting the spreadsheets . You will also learn how to produce charts.

Course aim

The course aims are for the learners who would like to gain the skills and confidence to use Microsoft Excel. The course can be flexible and adapted to individual learner’s needs.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Confidently create a simple spreadsheets.
  • I will have the ability to enter text and format a spreadsheets.
  • I will be able to confidently change the orientation, margins, headers and footers.
  • I will be able to confidently create simple formulas.
  • I will be able to confidently create charts.

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor

What else do I need to know?

  • Nothing else is needed
