This course is designed to enable students to develop handbuilding techniques to create a range of pottery work inspired by the theme of the Countryside. Students will be encouraged to research and select aspects of the theme they find interesting for the focus for their clay work. They will use different methods of shaping and forming the clay including slabbing ,coiling and using plaster moulds. Surface texture explored by the use of tools, pushing objects into the clay and working in relief.
