On this course you will be able to learn to play group pieces on the keyboards or percussion, arranged or written by the tutor. We shall also listen to and discuss compositions by a classical composer. We shall also sing a range of songs accompanied by the assistant tutor and tutor.

No Session on 21 February. this course is only open to students who use the partners services.

Course aim

To practise and play specially arranged pieces on the keyboards and percussion. To sing a selection of songs. To listen to and discuss a composer's work.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • No skills or experience needed
  • This course is suitable for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Play at least one piece with the group on keyboards or percussion.
  • Sing a selection of songs with the group.
  • Have an increased awareness of a particular composer and his compositions.

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor
  • You will be encouraged to consider other students work and give your opinions and suggestions

What else do I need to know?

  • All materials will be provided
