This exciting course will bring together creative artists of all ages and abilities to develop, plan and create a large art work based on a selected theme.Learners will develop their individual artistic skills as well as learning new art techniques. Working individually and in small groups learners will make decisions on the different subjects, images and designs matching the initial brief. All learners will produce the various art works together using a wide variety of media including paint, coloured pencils and collage. Towards completion of the task the group will consider composition, balance and perspective and decide how and where to place individual and group art work to form a large visual on a back drop .

Course aim
The course has been designed to encourage learners of all ages and abilities, working individually and in teams, to use their artistic skills using a wide range of media to produce an art work for a larger display based on a selected theme

- This course is suitable for beginners and improvers
- This exciting and inclusive creative class brings together learners of all ages and abilities to produce a large art work based on a selected theme. Learners will work both individually and in groups, making own artistic decisions and choosing own creative approach to the task.
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- use my creative skills using a range of mixed media to create ideas for the project
- use a range of different work with others to develop an art workmedia
- develop my own ideas and select own media to contribute to the final art work
- work in a group making decisions and developing creative ideas towards a final art work
- contribute to deciding where to place art work to complete the final work
How will I be taught?
- The tutor will use a wide range of differentiated teaching and learning methods including modelling art work and demonstrations. Learners will benefit from small workshops and informal tutorials. A weekly display of completed work will allow the tutor and learners to give positive feedback
What kind of feedback can I expect?
- You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor
- You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning
- You will be encouraged to consider other students work and give your opinions and suggestions
- A file of work will be kept which will help to record your progress
