Aviation Mysteries, Myths, UFOs and Ghosts

Ref: C2226594

Since Icarus tumbled to the sea, aviation has created countless mysteries, myths, unexplained occurrences and conspiracy theories. This course examines both the more famous and many lesser known examples. What happened to the famous band leader, Glenn Miller who disappeared in 1944? Did he reach France - was he executed in England? Why did Hitler's deputy, Rudolf Hess fly to Britain and was it really him imprisoned for all those years? Did Amelia Earhart spy for America or serve the Japanese? What happened on board flight MH370 and where did it go? What seemed to appease the restless spirits from flight 401? Five aircraft from Flight 19 flew into the infamous Bermuda Triangle and never emerged. Other well-trained, rational airmen chased Foo Fighters, some with tragic consequences while UFO sightings ranged from Suffolk to Texa with abductions alleged - to be believed or mocked. Similarly, ghost aircraft and the spirits of fallen fliers will be explored in this fascinating course.
