Prints of Darkness: Exploring Goya & Hogarth

Ref: C3842669

This one-day course will look closely at the graphic work of William Hogarth and Francisco Goya. After viewing the exhibition, there will be a talk on the prints of both artists, looking at the themes and subjects contained in the work. In the afternoon students will be asked to make drawings using the themes and ideas of either artist, using graphite sticks, charcoal, pencils and other materials, perhaps using a more contemporary twist on the same themes.
