During the programme we will look at the different ways that confidence can be lost and gained leading to an inability to be assertive. There will be a focus on how to turn negative thought processes into helpful thought processes and how to build resilience to the aspects of life that can knock confidence. We will analyse the role that "perfectionism" plays in lowering our self-esteem and discuss techniques that will help participants to become less hard on themselves and appreciate their individual qualities. We will discuss the differences between Aggressive, Assertive and Passive Behaviours and learn strategies for saying how we feel and what we want in an assertive way.
