Seminar: The Cinque Ports of Kent and Sussex

Ref: C3743169

The Cinque Ports of Kent and Sussex are described as the cradle of the Royal Navy. We will be examining their origins and role in the Saxon and Mediaeval periods and assessing the truth of this claim. The ports still bear vestiges of their past status and the course will end with a brief tour around some of the ports including sites of interest
