Process Philosophy - Is the World a Thing or a Process?

Ref: C3743019

Championed by A.N. Whitehead and Henri Bergson, Process philosophy developed during the 20th century as a challenge to traditional assumptions about what the world is and how we should think about it. Its central premise is that we should not think of the world as comprised of present, concrete things/objects, but of dynamic, temporally extended processes. There are no things, there are only processes. This proposed shift in thinking, if correct, has huge implications for the way we think about science, philosophy and the human mind. The course will explore Process philosophy and its wider implications, particularly for our understanding of the human mind.
