Day School: Leonardo da Vinci - A Universal Man?

Ref: C3742960

Leonardo da Vinci was a designer of war machines, an architect, an engineer, a sculptor and a painter. This study course, based mainly on Leonardo’s own notebooks, reveals the extent of his achievements in the sciences and the arts, and will consider the question – was Leonardo the “Renaissance Man” and “Genius” of legend? Or simply an extraordinary late-medieval figure? The course will also examine the fundamental ideas about the nature of the universe that informed Leonardo’s work.
