Ref: C3676144

Mindfulness, Meditation, Pranayama (breath) and gentle Yoga. Through the course of 7 weeks we will learn to meditate, to breathe correctly, to stretch our bodies gently with Yoga. This course will be gentle, restorative and relaxing. I will teach you techniques to help you deal with any of your life challenges. Life challenges us all at times through various trials, some larger than others, being able to cope with these challenges could rest just with the breath, or a meditation helping you to feel calm, focused and balanced enabling you to make correct choices that will help you through these times. Also this course will help you to relax, to sleep better and enjoy general feeling of well being and health.

Course aim

This course will focus on Mindfulness, Meditation and gentle Yoga with a view to being able to apply the techniques taught to use in your life to help to elevate your health and well being. Bringing you a sense of calmness and clarity.

  • This course is suitable for beginners and improvers
  • This course is for people with little spoken English
  • You will need a little spoken English to understand instructions so that you are able to practice safely.

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Breathe correctly. Most of us only breathe into the upper chest. Through Pranayama you will learn to breathe deeply and correctly, which has major health benefits on its own. It will help to lower blood pressure, it will strengthen your physical heart and lungs and help to develop a calm mind and improve stamina.
  • Mindfulness. The practice of Mindfulness will help you to calm an over active mind, help you to understand your thought patterns so that you are more able to make right choices for yourself. Mindfulness, when understood can spill into your everyday life helping you to feel clarity and purpose and a sense of well being.
  • Yoga. Through the practice of yoga, we will gently stretch our body enabling us to be more flexible, easing stiffness and general aches and pains, helping us to gain good posture. Developing good posture can help to alleviate some of the more common aches and pains we may suffer from.
  • Meditation. The Meditations will help you to break habits, to help you with mild anxiety and mild depression. You will learn how our mind can work to our advantage to be positive and happy.
  • At the end of the 7 weeks you will learn that for us to function well as a whole being, we need to create a healthy calm mind, which then creates a healthy physical body and a mindful, positive outlook in our lives, regardless of our challenges, there will always be challenges! It is how you deal will them that counts.
