Improving Your Confidence and Building Your Self-Esteem

It will encourage students to build and develop their confidence by learning to develop techniques and strategies to raise their confidence. They will recognise triggers that can impact on their confidence and self esteem. They will identify ways of improving their health and wellbeing and how they can introduce them into their daily life.

Course aim

Students will learn to improve their confidence and self esteem including their health & wellbeing. They will recognise triggers that can impact on their confidence & self esteem and establish ways of improving this in their daily life.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • No skills or experience needed
  • This course is for women only as it is held in a women's centre

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Identify your daily routine and when you are confident within this routine.
  • Identify areas for improvement within your routine to build your self esteem.
  • Recognise triggers that can impact on your confidence and self esteem.
  • Develop techniques and strategies to raise your confidence & wellbeing.
  • Implement two things that will improve your self esteem.

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor
  • You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning
  • You will be encouraged to consider other students work and give your opinions and suggestions
  • A file of work will be kept which will help to record your progress

  • Nothing else is needed
