Creating Healthy Gardens

Ref: C3674611

Re-design your garden or growing space, be it large or small. This course will demonstrate how to plant seeds ready for Spring, offering suggestions on what would be the most appropriate for you. Students will be able to take seedlings home and if necessary be able to germinate them under cover at a local allotment beforehand. The tutor will demonstrate how to build a simple wormery and other topics covered will include encouraging wildlife in the garden, growing herbs and edible flowers as well as some unusual vegetables. Our relationship with nature is important for our well being and having a peaceful but productive area helps to achieve this. Weather permitting, some sessions may be held at a local allotment so students will gain practical skills and also see examples of gardening techniques.
