To give the student the ability to change settings, learn how to update their tablets software and apps installed, create or log into a social media website such as Facebook and many more tips and tricks. This course is the next step in learning more about getting the most from your tablet so come and join us.

Course aim

To give the student the ability to learn more about their tablet in a friendly and supportive group.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Change settings such as notification on certain apps, passwords and auto complete (if available)
  • How to check for system update and update Apps
  • Create or log into a Facebook account, add people and use the update your status
  • Surf the internet such as shopping, finding insurance etc.

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning
  • You may be asked to undertake additional work in your own time to support your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor

What else do I need to know?

  • You will need to bring your own tablet to the course

Pre-course work, reading and information sources

  • No pre reading or pre course work is required
