Sewing for all 2

Ref: C3673161

This is a course of interest to beginners as well as more experienced sewers. In the light of the growth of interest in recycling and upcycling clothing and other textiles, this course will look at some of the historical precedents in recycling from earliest times to the present. Each week the tutor will demonstrate and teach a particular topic related to the course. Topics covered will include; learning about basic sewing equipment, including how to thread and use a sewing machine, hand and machine sewing techniques such as basic/useful stitches, and basic sewing techniques such as seams, inserting zips, hems and finishing off. Your own notes and handouts from the course will make a useful reference for projects you complete yourself after the course.
