This course is run by an engaging tutor and is packed full of useful information and tips for a more successful, interesting and creative job search. We will be ensuring your online presence is on point and that you're networking like a natural. You will also have the opportunity to share your ideas with other job hunters and receive and give support. The world of both work and job hunting is changing fast and this course will help you keep ahead of the game.

Course aim

In this interesting and useful course we will look at ways to get a job that are more effective than trawling Monster and Indeed.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • No skills or experience needed

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Make sure my online presence is working effectively for me
  • Ensure that I am maximising my network
  • Identify some new areas/ways of job hunting

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor

What else do I need to know?

  • Nothing else is needed

  • No pre reading or pre course work is required

  • Progress to another WEA course
