Flower and Vibrational Essence Practitioner Qualification - Essence of Plants

As the first of four 3-day weekends leading towards an Flower and Vibrational Essence Practitioner Qualification, the focus is Nature. Students will learn about the Bach Flower Remedies, their development and use. We will spend time connecting to plants, using art, photography and other creative ways of recording our experiences. This course runs at the time of Imbolc and new beginnings, the course content will reflect this time of year. We will use visualisation techniques to explore the use of plants for healing through the ages.

Course aim

First of four 3-day weekends leading towards a Flower and Vibrational Essence Practitioner Qualification, covering all aspects of flower and vibrational essence use, production and selection for personal and client use.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • A willingness to be open minded and embrace new ideas

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Understand the development of the Bach Remedies, use and recommend essences, selecting with cards and other methods, for personal and family use and share my experiences of using them
  • Have a growing appreciation and awareness of the importance of nature in my daily life
  • Begin compiling a portfolio of evidence
  • Have an understanding of how plants are named, knowledge of the correct terminology for the main plant structures and an awareness of the doctrine of signatures and how it relates to flower essence definitions.
  • Understand how plants have been used for traditional healing over the years and an understanding of what flower and vibrational essence makers/users can learn from traditional plant healing practices

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning
  • Some sessions will take place outdoors

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
  • You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning
  • You will be encouraged to consider other students work and give your opinions and suggestions
  • A file of work will be kept which will help to record your progress
  • There will be a number of tasks appropriate to your course such as written work, creating art or craft, video, photography or small projects. Some of these may be marked to help you progress

What else do I need to know?

  • It would be helpful if you had access to the internet (Mobile phone, tablet or computer at home or through a library etc.)
  • A4 Lever arch file, paper for writing/drawing, phone or camera,

Pre-course work, reading and information sources

  • No pre reading is required but research on the subject on the internet or in the library may be helpful

What can I do next?

  • Progress to another WEA course
  • It will be necessary to have completed an Anatomy and Physiology qualification to register as a Flower and Vibrational Essence Practitioner.
