Preparing for Driving Theory Test

This course is for E2/E3 learners wishing to learn the basics of the theory test. It will help you understand the situations and how to drive in places . It explains where and when you can drive and stop and is an eyeopener for those wishing to go back to driving after a break.

Course aim

This course is for upper E2/E3 learners wishing to take the driving theory test

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • No skills or experience needed
  • This course is for beginners

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Understand the road traffic signs and what they mean
  • Understand Alertness with Driving and how important it is
  • Understand the drivers Attitude and how important it is
  • Understand where hazard can occur and how these can be prevented

How will I be taught?

  • You may be asked to undertake additional work in your own time to support your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor
  • You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning
  • You will be encouraged to consider other students work and give your opinions and suggestions

What else do I need to know?

  • All materials will be provided
  • A selection of materials and basic equipment will be provided but you are welcome to bring additional materials with you

Pre-course work, reading and information sources

  • No pre reading or pre course work is required
