Tailored Trousers (Surefit)

Ref: C3126713

The course is designed to develop a range of basic pattern drafting and sewing skills and give you the confidence to use them to make tailored trousers. Using the sure fit system we begin by drafting a master pattern for the trousers by taking accurate body measurements. This course is designed to give you a perfect fitted pair of trousers, this could be trousers, jeans, joggers or culottes. Students will learn how to toile the trousers and make adaptions if necessary. As well as sew seams, pockets, zips and darts. Students will gain an understanding of fabrics and how to use them in their projects as well as learn to cut from simple patterns. They will also learn to construct unique trousers working alone as well as with the tutor. With the master pattern many adapted pairs of trousers can be made. The skills and confidence can then be used to create a pair of well fitted trousers of the students choice.
