An introduction to aromatherapy. Aromatherapy is a holistic treatment which uses essential oils extracted from various parts of plants to improve physical and emotional well-being. There are many ways to use essential oils including inhalation, in the bath, compresses and massage. Learn how to use essential oils safely to reduce stress and improve mood and well-being. We will look at cautions when using and blending essential oils, safe storage and oils which should never be used in aromatherapy. Massage is an excellent way of applying the oils to the body and increase the health potential of aromatherapy, so you will have the opportunity to learn a short hand and arm massage and use your own blend of essential oils for the treatment.
