History - Medieval Entertainment

Ref: C2524915

We think we know the brighter, cheerier side of "Merry England" - but what did people really do for fun? This short course will be a whirlwind tour of the pastimes and entertainments of medieval England. We'll listen to the songs, tell the jokes, play the games and even (if you want to!) try the dances of medieval times. Among other things, you'll find out how to play kicking camp, why the devil might carry a flatfish, and how you might have been entertained by Lord Marlinspikes, Matilda Makejoy, or the City Waits.
